this is annoying

On my home pc this doesn't happen, but here at work there is this grey box around Icons on the desktop, how do I remove them ?

ok here was the solution:

It was found by 95BPUPlus from supraforums.com:

right click my computer, advanced, performance settings, visual effects, check on the bottom use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop
