Hi,
I'm looking to buy a 4 ports USD hub and because I'm finding prices that vary from $5 - $60 (or even more), I'm worndering if the more inexpensive ones could cause any damage to my computer.

If you look on ebay, there are sooo many options and I'm really not sure what to buy becuse I wanna buy something inexpensive but that won't cause any problems on my pc

thanks!!!

Fernanda

I'm doubtful they will cause any 'problems' the cheaper ones will most likely be less efficient, Check that they're USB 2.0 for the fastest transfer rates.

thanks

that's good to know!
It's amazing that the same thing can vary so much in price!

Thanks!

i bought a cheap hong kong import pci card form ebay. with 5 usb 2 ports on it!

iv never had any problems with it

most of them are plug and play, and as long as its usb 2.0... you're laughing :D

It would depend on what you were going to use the hub for. The cheaper hubs tend to cause problems in using a high power USB device such as an HDD or printer or cameras
