CPU questions

i have some questions about my CPU, i have a 2.4 p4 850 famliy and i was wondering if a 3.4 ghz could fit in the zif holder thing. im a noob with cpus but not with everything else, it took an hour to figure out out to take off the heatsink! oh and can an AMD fit where the pentium went?

AMD CPU will not be able to go into your Dell, or any motherboard with an Intel.

ok thanks, does anyone know wat a good processor that will fit my><, im thinkin possibly a 3.2 - 3.6 ghz but i dont know if one can fit or wtf!

Get Everest, find out what socket motherboard you have.

i dont know wat the mother board is but i looked on intel.com and it said that the HT p4's will take 850 chipsets!!!
