7800GTX questions

if i pair a 7800GTX with a DFI lanparty nF4 Ultra-D, 1 gig of OCZ enhanced latency, and an amd athlon 64 3000+ venice. would the processor be to low for the video card and i need to get a higher processor?

actually i was just in that dilemma myself. (SIG) if you have it OCed to around 2.4ghz then thats equivilent of a 3800+ and you really shouldn't have a problem.

yes thats a nice system but the 420w psu wont work for SLI 7800GTX's. only a snigle.

Yeah, nVIDIA cards are infamous for their HUMONGOUS power consumption. I would go for a 500w or more.

7800GTX is actually less power hungry then a 6800 ultra- 420w should be more then enough.

As for the processor, I wouldn't pair it with anything less then an AMD 4000+ or P4 570.

well if you clicked on the link, i had a 500 watt power supply , aspire, and i was just wondering if i should really go for that or i could go with the OCZ POWERSTREAM 420watt.

they said go for a 2.2 OC or buy at least a 3500+, in the lower settings you can really see like a 10fps different between the 3000+ and the fx but on the higher resolutions with aa and af, you cant really see a different

is the first one betteer, or the second one, im thinking the second one.
but then the case may get HOT, and i cant afford any more case fans.
i could go with OCZ 1 gig performance series for 112 dollars and buy some case fans with the extra 10 dollars i got...?
