Ok I have a legal copy of some of my works software

I was hoping to bring it home and use it however when I try and run it,

the works pc run win 95 and home is running xp I get this message

c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT.the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows application.Choose close to terminate program

whether I use PCW or not

any help

Because there is no DOS in xp some applications won't run even in the compatibility mode. You will have to create another partition and install a Win9x on it and use a dual boot setup.

this software runs on a Compaq 2100 laptop running XP home in the program compatability mode (windows 98), it just will not run on the Packard bell laptop running XP home.....?

Ok I was musing last night at work, and I came to the conclusion that if I wanted this software to work I would have to run it on win98 however the laptop is designed to run on XP as are all the drivers

So I thought about installing win98 as a second O/S partitioining the H/D now if I do this will win98 beable to use the drivers installed on the machine currently for XP

How would I acheive this

Any Help appreciated
