Networking with Quickbooks software

A business that I'm working with has 2 PC's. The are not networked in any form right now. On one PC, Quickbooks Pro and Point of Sale are installed. The owner wants to be able to access Quickbooks on the other PC as well. If I nework these two PC's together, would they be able to open Quickbooks if I mapped a shortcut on the PC without Quickbooks to the .exe file on the PC that does have Quickbooks? You can't load a program in one computer and run it on another. You'd have to install it on both, then share the files.

Do you think that remote desktop would work?

It would in theory, but you can't really go around using Remote Desktop all the time, it does not give a great experience Why can you not just install it again?

I went to the forums on Quickbooks' support site. They do allow their single license's to be installed on two computers so I'll just do that. Thanks for your response and help.
