Computer Upgrade

Hey, I just made a post about hard drives, but since I got fast feedback I figured I would throw this out there too. I want to upgrade my computer with a new chip, motherboard, and 512mb of ram. I also don't want to go too much over $350. Anyone have suggestions for the best parts for the price?

hmmm, what socket are you looking into? Also what interface is your graphics card?

Sorry I forgot to mention those I have an AGP 8x graphics card and the socket doesn't really matter to me, since I am buying a new compatible motherboard anyways. To tell you the truth I am not sure of the difference between 754 and 939. I also have ATA 100 hard drives.

754 is older and 939 is still upgradeable and it will be for a while.

what do you want it for? I can play cs:s fine with a overclocked mbl. 2500+,512, and a junk 9200 on a Socket A board, so it depends on what you want. If your a hard core gamer who wants everything he can get out of his system, go for the 939, but if your just causual,photoshop,netsurfer trying somthing less intense might not be that bad to at least look into
