Microsoft stole the GUI for Windows from Apple

Not particualarly. Xerox created the GUI. Then Apple hired some of their researchers then they pretty much stole the GUI from Xerox. At the time Apple was developing the GUI Microsoft was writing Excel for the Mac platform. So Microsoft programmers got a look at the GUI system Apple was developing so Microsoft went off and hired some of their own Xerox researchers.

Microsoft stole the whole idea of a mouse and cursor from Xerox, as well.
