Im just saying that for $150 you can get a 6600 gt. It literally beats the crap out if the 9800 pro series. It compares close to ATIs x800. Its a great card that plays all games out on high or medium, and more than less high. Its a way better card than the aging pro. Plus yopur board you want is PCI express so u might as wel get the 6600 gt.

Would the ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 motherboard be any good?

Yea but I would recommend the MSI board I have because it has integrated 24 bit 7.1 channel surround sound. So you save money on not gettin a sound card. The Asus board is good but the MSI has proved better threw benchmarks.however both boards are good.

Umm, all looks good however I don't like the case!

The RAM, you'd be better with OCZ or GeiL

And the HDD, go for Seagate!

I have an A8N-SLI Deluxe and I would recommend you go with the MSI board.

I deff think you should go with an amd processor and a pci-e video card

if you plan on playing games there is no way you would want a pent. 4
and you might as well go with pci-e just because its 16X instead of 8X
