Well yea, of course it is. It's a PS2 that can fir in your hand.

actually its more of a cross between a ps1 and a ps2 because it has 64meg gfx while the ps1 has 32 and the ps2 has 128. i think its processor is faster than the ps1s but not as fast as a ps2. still a very very very nice piece of hardware. have u guys played mercury?? shows the power of the psp

If I'm not mistaken, the PSP's CPU is almost 100mhz faster than the PS2's.

Slightly, because so much hardware is already crammed on such a little device. Either way, it's a very nice handheld.

And yes, it also has browser capabilites

If I'm not mistaken, the PSP's CPU is almost 100mhz faster than the PS2's.

i think the psps processor is 333mhz and the ps2s is 400

And the PSP's CPU clocks in at 333mhz. So it's faster by 33mhz. Impressive.
