non-working laptop

my friend just gave me a laptop that he said needed a new BIOS chip and possibly a processor. it's really old, and i don't know what to do. I didn't even know there was a separate BIOS chip...

it also has a dead battery, and I don't know where to pick up a charger, or even what kind of charger it needs.

the battery is a 14.4V Lithium ion, and the laptop is a Jetbook 5033...

any help would be appreciated.

yeah, but i couldn't find anything regarding replacing them for that specific notebook...or where it would be found. they all expect you to know exactly what you're doing (which i don't)

BIOS and CPU chip can't be replaced on your laptop..

You can get a charger but chances are the battery is probably dead.. The battery will cost more than the laptop is worth.

i've seen some sites that tell that you can replace BIOS chips, but it's really really hard and you can easily screw it up...

and where could i find a new battery / how much would it be?
