what pc did you buy? HP? DELL? On the back of your pc should be a sticker with model name and serial number.

what you gave as info with GenuineIntel x86 ..... that's not the actual brand/model.

It's a Intel P4 Celeron... 2.8 ghz

yeah ... you're kind of limited there with that motherboard. It's PCI or your on-board video. You might consider returning that pc. Do you know of the return policy of the pc or where you purchased it from? Another option would be to purchase a new motherboard that supports the actual processor you have in there. The processor is either P4 or Celeron ... not both.

um.... can you gimme a suggestion of a good motherboard that supports my computer... and can you also tell me what i need to transfer from my current motherboard aside from the cd roms and harddrive... and RAM

You'd need to remove your CPU and your sound or LAN card of you have one.
