Motherboard problems

i just got a new nf7 mobo and i am trying to hook it up. i have the power supply plugge in and i cant boot it up by putting a screwdriver on the pwr chip, any help please?

yeah ... put your tongue on the other end of that screwdriver, then jam a paper clip into the wall plug

i was told that shorts the pwr pins hold for two seconds and the computer boot up, is this wrong?

well ... whatever you're trying to do, I'm not seeing how jamming metal tools into your NEW motherboard is part of the steps in building (or re-building) your pc.

Read your motherboard manual, it should explain how to wire up your motherboard and connect all your components to it.

well do you have a good guide on building a computer from all the parts? cause this guy sent me everything i need and he gave me a unthorough guide how to install it

now see ... you're giving a little more information. You're without a manual, huh? Do a google for your motherboard's manual ... probably a pdf file from ABIT's website.
