I just got a new laptop... anyway its a dell inspiron 6000 specs are
P4M 1.6 533 fsb
512 pc3200 ddr2
ati x300 128 pci express
80g wd 5200
First thing I did was format the hard drive and did a clean install of xp pro and all the drivers, the thing is that it runs slow as S^$&. I have tried to play unreal turny on it and it will stutter I have also tried battlefield 2 and it does the same thing. It does it to the point that it is impossible to play. I don't expect this to run these games great but I would expect it to be able to play them. It also runs slow in windows, it lags when opening windows and going to start menu etc. I have set the power option to desktop so that it runs at 1.6 and it still sucks. Anyone know of anything to do, because I know this thing isn't running right.
