Yeh my WD is quite noisy i can hear it humming from upstairs. Do you mean like a PCI express X900 or whateva. Also why are they better.

AGP is an older technology, and ALL NEW CARDS are not engineered on that BUS anymore. The PCI Express BUS has an enormous bandwidth and can handle huge amounts of data unlike AGP. Also, the engines and shading on the newer PCIe cards is enhanced because of the increased bandwidth.

no no, PCI and PCI Express are VERY DIFFERENT! PCI BUS runs at 66MHz while the PCI Express BUS runs at 100MHz. Also, PCI has a much lower bandwidth (20x-120x lower) PCI Express are very differnt looking slots, and are NOT white colored like the PCI slots, they are usually black, red, purple, or blue.
