Personnelly I wouldn't mind it. But from what I understand its a toolbar? If so just resinstall IE OR go to www.firefox.com and DL that. Its a good broswer. As well you could always format your HD if you feel YOU REALLY WANT TO GET RID OF IT. And your telling me the place you bought the com they didn't format the HD? If someone sells a comp with a HD at least make sure its formated or at most only has a OS on it.

downloading firefox isn't going to solve his problem, since because his child does infact use the computer, he isn't going to want a single trace left, because, leave it to a kid to find what was thought not to be there... lol
Reistalling IE maybe a good way to do it, that is if it is a toolbar. of course, generally toolbars and especially ones like that don't come by themselves, they are usually a clue to the tons of spyware that is probably on your system.
definitly run adware aswell.

Because you aparently bought this pc unformatted, the best would probably be to back up your documents, and reinstall windows. People do lots of crazy stuff to an OS, and you don't want to be the one to deal with it.
