So you think it like didn't work the first time? (The win XP install) I think I'll try a system repair, but if that doesn't work, I will re-format.

So I reinstalled it, and it doesn't work still. I have a different message now though. It says to Install a Microsoft Bus Driver before I do the audio driver. How do I do this? Also, I had no option to not install an audio controller.
