Hi Everybody, wanna get me a notebook...made by Acer. One with the AMD Sempron M 2800+ and the other with Intel Celeron 1.6Ghz processors. I'll use it for browsing the net, music, DVD's, documents, Powerpoint and occasional gaming like Project IGI. Which one is better and why? Enlighten me!!

Amd, all we know about this is the processors do you have specs on both the computers?

The specs are almost similar...256DDR upg to 2GB, 40GB HDD, CD-R/W+DVD, 15'TFT, Modem, LAN, Wireless Card. AMD supports Power Saving Technology, N/A in Intel. Pls advise..

Processor Specs are like Intel Celeron 350/360 1MB L2 cache 1.4/1.6Ghz and 400 Mhz FSB. As for AMD its Mobile AMD Sempron 2800+, with AMD PowerNow Technology, and AMD HyperTransport Technology Support

Well, first, I'd get more memory.
Second, AMD CPUs come with the 3Dnow Technology which is mere better for games. also, the AMD architecture have better cache.

The only bad thing about AMD is that they won't handle much massive Oc as the Intel CPus
