Email Clients wont send email through Gmail SMTP

recently all my email clients(thunderbird, outlook, outlook express) have not been able to send mail through the gmail server but have been able to recieve it. I can send and recieve through webmail but it would be nice to send mail through email clients again.

Any suggestions?

if you have the correct information it could just be a problem at Gmails end

I left it for 24 hours and then tried toi send an email again and it worked. Apparently gmail doesnt like you using the service through pop too often.
