Is overclocking a P4 3GHZ to a 3.22GHZ safe? Look, I don't really need that, but I just do it so I can just get something a little faster

It's probably safe depends the temps ur gettin and wat voltage u got it on???the p4's can handle massive overclocks btw!!

Yeah we need to know what kind of specs you have. And remember if you oc you have to mess with your ram too...but good luck.

Well, if it handles massive Overclocking, does that mean I can go from 3GHZ to 4-7GHZ easily?

BTW, my CPU temp is stable from 55C-60C...During BIOs setup, it goes up to 66C

And I will get another heatsink too..and a system fan

hm..i'm not really up to what is with the good idle temp. But that sounds kinda hot to me. You need more fans for sure tho. And are you sure your mobo is unlocked? Dude are you saying from a 3 ghz to 4-7? maybe if kept your comp in a freezer. But not otherwise. i doubt it will even run stable over 3.4

The mobo is always unlocked. And as for temp...they're normal.

When it starts to be hot, it's when it reaches 80-100C easily

I was replying to you to say that 55C isn't that hot. the only way to get 100Cis when you misinstall the heatsink and fan or without installiing one at all

Other than that, my mobo's unlocked
