ok computer?

Yep a 10,000RPM hard drive would seriously speed loading of games up...it'd be like..."whoooshhhh" hehe

Rhenerie...:p Great system you picked out! :D wolfinstinct would be able to do that and much more with the money (thats what I meant by "I wouldn't know where to start to even use half that amount on even an excellent system") and yep, thats an excellent way of burning a slight bit of it :p

Trust me, If you can get those specs... no game would stop you for ages... trust me... *wide open mouth*

Hehe, I wouldn't even blaim you for wanting to make it look really high tech by placing loads of led fans and loads of flashing lights on it to make it look like a super computer :p It'd also be really cool if you could get a glowing read out bar on the front of the case to tell you everything, and possibly as an extra screen to, as a suggestion to show the Media Player for example all the time :) What do you tihnk of that?

You need a scsi controller with scsi, and if you're a first time computer builder you don't want to mess with scsi anyways with the current performance of Serial ATA. I'd use this drive for your sytem drive, it is a 74gb 10k rpm sata raptor:

and heck with your motherboard you could get two and put them in a raid 0 array and they would be REALLY fast. Also bump up the processor speed, if you have the cash get an Athlon fx 55 or one the new dual core athlons, the athlon 64 x2. If not get at a MINIMUM an athlon 64 3800+ anything slower wouldn't do justice to your system.
