i just had a question about some ram.

im looking at the corsair twinx 1024 (2x512) pc 3200 and i was wondering what the difference was between the ram with the regular heatspreader and the the one with the "platinum" heat spreader. what kind of benefits i had etc. i also noticed that within the last couple weeks the regular one went up to $122.00 and the platinum is still around $119.00 if anybody has some advice that would be great!

I've researched, and it turns out its just the colour thats any different
So you probably wouldn't get any advancements at all!

Ah man...

If you have good air flow in the case to start with you won't need those any way. Save your money and get those with out the heatspreader.
Ram doesn't get hot enough to warrant a heatsink. Not unless the name on the case is Cray 6000.
