Is this ok?

well i have 2.6 Ghz, 512 RAM, 64 mbs of video and I want to put a radeon 9800 pro video card into my computer. Is this ok for the computer because I heard if u have an awesome computer but really slow ram/cpu/video card it could slow down the whole thing, so i was just wondering.

Well this all depends on will your motherboard support agp 4/8. And also you psu. If you dont have enough power your gonna run into alot of problems. Whats the current size of you PSU(power supply) and whats the model of you motherboard.

Don't worry, a radeon 9800 pro will NOT slow it down.
