Monitor prong broken

Well setting up the familys computers in a new room i hooked up a fairly new nonitor to one of the computers and could not get the screen to show. After about 45 min i looked at the actual cable and one of the prongs on the monitor connecter is broken. Im guessing thats why i am not getting a picture. Is there any way to fix this, at home job or getting someone to replace it.

you can always cut the cable and buy your own connection and rewire it. That wou'dn't be too hard just make sure when you take apart the cable make sure. that all the wires in the cable are matched with the right connection.
