Yea, my hard drive is failing. Good thing my new is shipping Monday!!! Every time I try to run a disk cleanup or defrag my computer restarts. You might want to check your disks for errors by the way.

the screaming noise, it isn't a fan not working on the cpu is it? causing the cpu to overheat and shut down.

Might be a bad power supply but i still cant think of what the screaming noise would be.....my only guess would be a fan or your harddrive..

i think it is the power supply, i was listening closely, when i put the power cord in, it started to make this slight buzzing noise, it never did that before.

Well, it ain't the power supply, i just swapped it with my sister's, didn't work, i think it's safe to say that it is dead now, oh well, great excuse to buy a new cpu and mobo!

yeah it sounds like an overheating problem but seeing as how it won't start uh...welll maybe you could sell if for scraps??
