yeah that would have been great to mention but let's say it was his lead how could you replace that? I think my friend has the same problem.

Yeah. I'd expect a normal digital 3.5mm jack to work on both ends, though that would connect a stereo mode.

How do the sattilight speakers plug up? Do they use normal crossover minus and positive plugs? I'd assume so, unless they are all digital leads, which means you need to get some really long 3.5mm jack leads...

If they are standard negative minus plugs that connect to a speaker and out using a 3.5mm jack, these should be rather easy to get, but get good quality ones. Shouldn't cost you that much though...
