how do i figure out what kind of ram i need to buy for my vaio pcg-k23 laptop? its upgradable to 1 g and it has 512 built in... so i assume i need 512 of ______... dram? dd ram whatever... thanks i appreciate the help

hmm, with that wordage... "dram? dd ram whatever" I hope that you know how to install new ram into a laptop... otherwise i would call Sony to see how much they will charge for the DDR and the labor of installing... you do not want to fry your motherboard by not knowing what you are doing with a laptop!

yes im aware i dont know jack about installation but i was gonna get it done at best buy, so i was just wondering what memory i can get so maybe i can hunt online for a cheaper one (since installations expensive)

go to http://www.crucial.com and put in your pc brand and model and such, it will tell you what kind you need.
