I got a question about flash or java...

I go to websites like this (fetchfido.com) and I can't do a lot of stuff on that website. I think its because I don't have a very good flash or java program.

does anyone know where I can download a flash or java thing so I can use this website?

If you dont have one, it should open up a link for you to download one, though heres the link for the shockwave (flash) player that will work in all types of browsers:

http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

The Java takes a while to download on slow connections so I warn you, but it allows you to run some stuff I've needed in the past week or so:

http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp

This ones an auto install and will check if you need to download it, and if need be, download it.

ok... which one do you prefer to run videos and games?

No, you'd install both using those links, and then when a site requests it, it'll boot the program up and allow you to play the game/watch the movie.

They use different interfaces you see, though it seems the fetchfidos games use mostly Flash (shockwave) to run the games which you'l need to play them.

ok... I downloaded the first one successfully.

Then I went to the second one. This is what popped up.

"Error - Java (TM) Installer

The installer cannot proceed with the correct internet connection settings. Please check the installation notes for more information."

what does this mean?

ok... I go to the website, and it doesn't load, but I have flash.. but idk about java... would that make a difference?
