Burning AVI

Heyyo all, how do I burn AVI onto (multiple?) CDs that will work on DVD players?

Many DVD players also play VCD. Look for a converter on download.com.

Why should it be deleted? I created backup copies of a few movies on my HD in AVI format, and I want to know how to convert them back .
