What does the "+" sign mean?

Just want to know. I thought it meant that you're a mod, but money_man has one and he's a guru. Or does it mean something more than that?

It means you have them on your buddy list, if you mean where it shows who's online.

That's correct, when you add someone to your buddy list a plus sign will appear next to their name when they sign on.
