reformatting clarifications

hi guys... i just wanna clarify something.. can i use win98 startup disk in reformatting my pc and installing xp pro? cause i was using win98 previously and i wanna upgrade my OS to xp pro and i dont have xp start up disk.. or can i just use the xp cd itself in reformatting the hard drive?

Use the XP disk. No problem. It will ask for the 98 disk , insert it and it will do the upgrade.

I dont know about you.. But I never liked the partitioner in Xp disk.. Feels cheesy..

you acn use 98 disk.. I prefer to use a more powerfull tool. Download and use this disk for all your emergency needs..

use the Fdisk do partition.. then format.. I use the dos emulator to do all this..

I've heard about barts.. never tried it.. Always been happy with EBCD
