Spam scams Ipod, PS2 & Laptops etc.

At another forum that six or seven other members and myself go to. They have a script in place that when a member posts a link to a free Ipod, LapTop etc. type site, it strips out the referal part of the link making it worthless.

I wonder if that something like this could be initiated at this forum, as there is a lot of this one hit wonder type posting going on...

Hmmm, that sounds interesting...we could try that sometime, if David can and decides to.

Though how does it know what links are spam, and what links are not? Surely it could take out links that are needed, like links to drivers and such?

Its a good idea if it'd only delete the right links, though the post would still need to be edited anyway to get rid of the rest of it...

The script knows what referall link to delete, have no fear that other links will be effected because they won't. This has worked on the other forum succesfully for the past two years.

That thing would be cool, it would probably deter(if thats how you spell it) a lot of spammers from spamming here.
