If you look towards the bottom of the spec sheet, it will tell you that it must be purchased with additional hardware. Maybe it only applies to Microsoft mouses. I'm a huge fan of Microsoft when it comes to getting a mouse for my PC and can't get any other brands. I like the feel and comfort level of their mouse and just got a habit of using them.

Yes and if you look there is also a free item that you get for buying the mouse. It is a link to a power cable splitter that fulfills the M$ must buy with hardware garbage. Newegg supplies it to you free. Just click on it and when you check out the price will be free.

Oh cool. So I can get the mouse by itself, as long as I pick that cable splitter too. Man, didn't see that part. Neweggs sure giving away a lot of free stuff. Most of their stuff have free giveaways too. Just checked.
