I have to agree with ya about wannabe specs on systems.
Some don't bother to confess they made a mistake somewhere along the line. So it's always the machine's fault.
Come on people make it just a tad bit easier for those trying to help you. Be honest.
If you screwed up doing something then tell us what you did. You might get some lighthearted ribbing but it's not meant to embarress you. We get our share trust me.
If something doesn't work or work right then tell us what happened and what you did. Goes a long ways to getting to the root of the problem and a working solution.
My computer don't work or it's forked up doesn't tell us jack diddly squat.
If a helper asks question it's best to answer and to give as much of the info they ask for as possible.

Good post Lurkswithin. Karnak died when Johnny Carson left us. It would give a helper some idea if he/she had a fix for the problem instead of fishing for the problem.
