Probably Pentium too for the same reasons.

When dual cpu's fully hit with supported programs/Windows support (just out) then all CPU's will be about the same, and this is the way to go instead of upping up megahertz to get a processor to do one task faster, it could use two and split the work. So then it' be easier on any platform to be doing complex scans and stuff but still get smooth playback of games

We'll just have to wait to see when this starts happening though. New consoles are going to be using this technology since programmers will have to work towards it.

I like Intel. There is a computer gaming place called Area 51 and they use AMD and the computer are very laggy even with T1.

Well it depends on which AMD processors they use.

I just want to say Intel does lead only by a small margin in music editing, and it isn't that noticeable.

Intel was my favorite back in the day of Pentium 3 (where AMD had I think the K6-2 and K6-3 out.. which were junk).... but Intel sucks now.

hey this is my first buy of a new computer and im not sure which one i should get.
which is the better one and which is the cheaper one.
and is there anything i should get to make it a good comp any tip will help thanx...

My sugestion: AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Socket 939

Don't go for Socket 940 as they are for the Opterons
