You can update with a 128 pci card and play quite a few of the newer games. the problem will be that they will be a tad bit slower from being a pci slotted card.
Doom3 will tax just about any card out there because of the extreme graphics profile(high frame rates) but you should be able to handle all the FPS games and single RPG's that came out in 2004. Borrow any of the online versions from a friend first and see if they will work before buying them. And don't waste your dollars on anything more than the 128mb card (Nvidia over ATI on PCI) If you do check out substituting that baby atx board for a regular atx that will fit and use that chip . Nice mobo's out there in the $70 (us) range that will allow for a better AGP card.
