i had a locking up problem which was resolved by a motherboard change.
that mobo was asus as well!

Thats really interesting... hmmm.

i wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that i just updated my BIOS? I mean..between both of my examples, one was before the update and the other after. I dont know. maybe i should contact Asus.

Ok. i was playin a game all afternoon and no lockups...Maybe i got the problem solved. I have yet to try the games that gave me the problem before tho. So we will see. Thank you all for your help tho!

I really didnt mean to tripple post...but i just had a thought. Is it possible my issue with BF1942 might be a video issue? It only started locking up after i changed the resolution to 1280.....I guess i never really considered that. Is that a possibility?

Yes that is a possability. Could be over heating could be any number of things. But over heating probualy is not happening cause most times you get an error. Yeah Lower your res a notch, and run your game. But if its not haveing no problems, ROCK ON keep it as high as you can.
