by the time nVidia has out their newer cards ATI will put out a crd that will beat it and it will keep going like that. thats not fair to compare future cards to the X850XT PE
ATI Technologies, a computer-graphics chipmaker whose founder is being investigated for insider trading, lost C$1.65 to C$19.10. The 8 percent slide was the steepest in the S&P/TSX. Hans Mosesmann, an analyst at Moors & Cabot Inc. in New York, predicted weaker-than-expected sales and cut the stock's rating to ``hold'' from ``buy.''
So? The larger percentage of graphics card profits lie in the mid-range and upper mid-range market, not the high-end market. Unfortunately for ATI, nVIDIA owns that area with the 6600 GT (the X700 Pro is the closest competitor and it sucks).
