I did somthing dumb

I was installing my new wirless mouse/kb combo and inftalled the wrong MS firmware for it. I went to uninstall so I could do the right thing. Anyway I uninstalled like a noob. I chose mouse in the hardware setup options and un-intalled the mouse but not the software. My mouse instantly died. I have since re-installed the right softare, tried un-plugging the mouse (hoping plug&play would find a mouse) tried system restore AND even safe mode. No mouse action at all. I have even tried a different mouse.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

How can I re-install the mouse? (New hardware wizard doesnt work either.)

lol, did you check them? It sounds idiotic but the same thing has happened to me and it was the batteries

restore your computer to yesterday or the day before.

lol, always look for the obvious fix/problem
I once tried to print something and it didnt, I got really annoyed and started swearing at my computer, after half an hour of that I realised it was turned off (the printer, not the computer)

All I had to do was unplug the PS2 plug for the Keyboard, and re-plug in the USB for both. The re-connect the wireless.

If I would have seen your topic earlier then I could have told you to hit the reconnect button, I too once had that same problem.
