DVD and CD-ROM drives not recognised

Hi, i hope someone here can help me.

I set up a wirless netwrok between 2 computers at home. After a while the older computer wouldn't recognise that the DVD and CD drivers were there, only recognising the floppy drive and anything connected via the USB ports.

Yesterday i tried to install a new game on the newer computer and the same thing has happened to that computer too. I ahve run the anti-virus and spy-ware programs multiple times and have done everything i can think of but i haven't got a clue how to fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tell us what equipment you are using ie operating system what wireless gear are you using network card or usb and so on.
