Hi i really would like it if i could get some pointers on installing Gentoo Linux

find your platform x86 amd64 whatever, click it and read. follow the directions. if you need more help, sign up for the forums and post a question. chances are your problem has already been solved.

What I found REALLY helpful is their IRC channel. Trust me, like the smartest people ever are in there (There are over 1000 people in the channel usually, it's insane)

some people will even sshd into your system and install for you.
