My computers not the brightest around, which leads me to my question....When I apply a Screensaver, and want to password protect it, I check the box, but when it goes into screensaver mode and its disengaged, No password request, Any idea why? Something simple?

Have you set what the password is? It can't ask what it doesn't know.

Make sure your computer dosent erase the history at a certian time, which would included all cookies, your internet history and any files that are not in use. Which would also wipe your password and your check in the box. So it wont read it as "Yes i marked the box and i want a password"
