Hey im went into my bios from startup but i cant seem to change any settings. thier not black and I cant select them. the only one i can select for the cpu is to toun ht on or off? so how would I oc my cpu? im using American Megatrends bios. THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

the way i usually do it is that i go into bios and i just edit how fast the processor goes... this is when you turn your comp on and u eitehr press f10 or f2 or something like that and u go to oc or something analagous to it. but be carefull, ocing can screw up ur comp if not done correctly... btw, what kind of cooling do u have? cause if u just have a fan i highly reccommend that you dont oc and get liquid cooling... but i dunno ur budget so yeah. here's some sites to help you more...

Had a similar problem with my old mobo. The bios chip in that motherboard simply will not let you overclock.

AMD ZEN wanted me to post this:
There is a jumper (a small removable metal piece) near the system battery and chipset controller. That jumper is in normal mode. What you need to do to access the setup menu for BUS speeds and multipliers is move that jumper over to the next pin position (so just move it down one space) into CONFIG mode. Once you have done that, restart the PC in that CONFIG mode and then set everything up. Then save the BIOS settings, and turn off the PC. Move the jumper back to normal position and start it back up. WALLA!
