Burning TV to DVD?

How hard is it to make my PC act like a DVR? If guy a tuner card, can I just get an app to record shows and even burn them to DVD?

It's not that hard, but it all depends on the quality you want. If you want say DVD quality, you'd want a card with realtime MPEG2 compression(and I mean hardware compression, not that software crap)

I don't think its too hard, if you have a TV card you may even get software to do it anyway,.

Sorry, I don't know of the good ones out there. Price ranges have a lot to do with it too. I mean I've seen them for about $100 on up to $1000
