run your antivirus program, as well as lavasort ad-aware, microsoft antispyware and spybot search and destroy. that should clean up everything that youve got on there.

also, if you arent already, download mozilla firefox, and use it instead of internet explorer...

when you do get ur system cleaned, go out and get the McAfee personal firewall plus, and the Mcafee virus scan ver.9.0

no, now to think of it i havent? i always told my lil bro to do it for me but i dont think he has... would that affect my pc? and its been 2-3 yrs? haha so can i just download all the updates 2 make it up?

~well you will go to win update, and you will only download the need patches, but its gonna suck, if you have dial-up, cause its gonna take forever, so i suggest downloading them over night, if you do infact have dial up

if IE is letting in spyware etc, which it normally does, then that would slow down the games. do the steps that i put in above, and see if that makes a difference.

oh!!!, i know i bet you have too small of hard drive for all the stuff that you have on ur computer, i bet you have a 40gb hdd, and i bet you have 35gb left, cause 40-35=2 usable gb left, cause when you get the computer, windows xp takes up about 2.5 gb of hdd space, so maby try and get another 40 gb hdd, or get all ur crap onto an external hdd, or just burn it on to cd

dells are worse than compaq... id probably say something like samsung are pretty good.
