It is based on T-72. Quoting your own source:
"The PLA paraded three different tank types, with one of the most significant surprises being the new Type 98, which resembles a Russian T-72 MBT with a new and well-protected "box-like" turret."
Sorry. But the T-72 is a bad design. I'm just saying what is what. The T-72 should not be used. If anything they should look into what Pakistan has been doing as far as tank designs are concerned.
Most ships are in shoddy condition. The Chinese military decided against updating submarines.

"Litte is known about China's aircraft carrier programs, but it is known that one or two carriers are in the long-term naval plan. The Chinese have reportedly held discussions with the French and Russians concerning design and construction of new carriers, and have considered purchase of ex-Russian ships. Plans for purchase of old carriers have been abandonded, but there appears to be a continued desire and plan to acquire a carrier within the first decade of the 21st century.
The hulk of the Australian light carrier Melbourne, purchased for scrapping in 1985, remained in Chinese hands in 1994. The ship was being studied by naval designers.
During 8/1998 the ex-Soviet aviation cruiser Minsk was towed from a South Korean scrapyard to a Chinese port; she now serves as a museum/entertainment complex. The former Soviet carrier Varyag has been purchased by Chinese interests for similar commercial use; the hulk finally left the Black Sea 1 November 2001."
Aircraft carriers aren't being built. They are trying to acquire some. I do not think you are thinking as far as the targetting is concerned (more uncited rhetoric from you). There is no way in hell that the chinese have better then the US military. Additionally, the F-16 is old. We are replacing it with far better aircraft.
You are the one who can't look at your own sources. First off, the Type 98 is not a T-98. It is based on the T-72, which is inturned baseed on the ancient T-55 chassis.
I didn't insult myself either. I'm the one posting reputable sources.
