Inventors of TV and Telephone?

Yeah I knew it was a myth...ma dad always said it was true though :p Gullable guy

"American Charles Jenkins and Scotsman John Baird followed the mechanical model while Philo Farnsworth, working independently in San Francisco, and Russian émigré Vladimir Zworkin, working for Westinghouse and later RCA, advanced the electronic model."

J.L. Baird was the inventor of the TV - This was a machanical device that displayed video footage using electrics at a resolution of 300 lines @ 5 frames per second. (Not to be confused with a simple moving pictures on the end of a turning table - think of it more as a projector(but not). P. Farnsworth was the inventor of the CRT Television, with being the brains behind the Vacume Tube). Although the CRT is far more widely used, you don't call the inventor of the TFT screen the inventor of TV do you?

Therefor, the correct inventor of the TV was infact J.L. Baird.

The inventor of the CRT TV was P. Farnsworth.
