Rerformat Question

I am trying to install a tv capture card, buy there is a MS-DOS problem, and i'm going to reformat. I have many programs i downloaded and installed from friends, so can i just put my program fies onto my portable hard drive, and then put them back on once reformatted, will that work?

yes but if you have any spyware or viruses they could be carried over as well.

hey, if i reformat, will my steam account be lost on Half Life 2? So will i have to buy another copy of HL2?

No, you will still be able to use your account name, though I'd save your save files as these won't save.

Have you got internet protection? Spyware/virus etc which you can check the files with? Starr made a thread on it, should only be on page 2 or something Look for that for info
