Yeah the new ones called the 'Sony NW-HD5'
Even offers 40 hours battery life which I think is the best. It plays MP3's too, though more standard is Sony's format, Atrac (thats probably what the 40 hour battery life is based on)

I quite like the screen, the fact on the new one you can have many different back light colours,and i stil think the positive and negative screen is still there which was great on the other model.

I didn't like the way the old one was set up though with you only being able to select from Album, Artist, Genre, and Group (Play list), Wasn't a file system which i think would suit it better. I don't know what the new ones set up like, probably the same type of thing...

what about the interface/screen you don't like?

The button control layout isn't that good and the screen is so pixelated that it's an eyesore.

I'll admit the iPod has the best physical appearance, but overall, my 40GB Nomad owns it. The iRiver is pretty cool too.

yah button layout and userability is a big factor in portable mp3, specially when theres more than 20 GB's of songs invoved!
