I have a University Interview today and I have just put some movies on a disc to show them. Now I know they won't have complex codecs so I haven't used Divx.

I have tried to keep them simple and have ended up with:

Microsoft Video 1 clips
Cinepak Codec clips
Windows MPEG-4 v2 clips

I have a feeling you get these on all Windows machines...would I be right? If not...some of these important movies are not gonna work...oh dear.... :(

I Hope you can assure me

Hmmm...

Well good luck with the interview for starters.
I would think your assumption is a good one. But after this interview or if you have time today convert them to wma format. Media Encoder 9 will convert the files. Windows inhouse format is getting so popular it's included on a lot of mainstream player equipment. My dvd player plays wma as well as mpeg files.

Thanks :)

As for that...damn, why didn't I think of that?

Too late now, i'm off for the bus in 15 mins, yet I wil have time to change it before the next one wens :p
Thanks for that Setishock

interview went very well :) The movies also worked perfectly well :D
I was also worried that they'd jerk running from CD but they wern't too bad on the drives they had.

I actually found myself relaxed through that interview... not bad at all :p
He also showed me some great games the computer games people were making in another department, amazing they were! I was glad to see some 3d sidescrollers, and 2d sidescrollers
